Emerald Valley Villa was created by Michael J Robison, the founder of The Emerald Planet Trust – an organization dedicated to preserving the beautiful and fragile life on Earth being assaulted and impaired by the effects of modern civilization.
For over 10 years, the Trust has been creating companies to develop environmental technologies for commercial application. Such technologies are helping to clean the earth and water, as well as addressing issues of climate change – by reduction in greenhouse gas production and other dangerous particulates that pollute the delicate atmosphere. Mr Robison and his international team espouse a Philosophy that just as a snow flake requires precise structure to survive – that the creation and preservation of lasting beauty is born from a balanced application of inspiration, discipline and compassion.
Emerald Planet Trust has recently formed Emerald Planet Asia which is involved in the developement of large scale biofuels plantations and sustainable forestry in Asia, particulary in Borneo. These and other projects – such as the conservation of Orangutans and Indonesian Rhinoseros – include indigenous community development among villages and towns in the regions.
